Requested the AC to be turned on around 8 PM while studying during Delhi’s scorching heat, but was told it was “too expensive” and that “if we switch on the AC for 2 more hours, the electricity bill would become something we wouldn’t be able to afford.” It was humid, hot, and suffocating since the AC was the only proper source of ventilation. I went to ask for help regarding this, but all the help I got was the exhaust fan being turned on, which was again switched off within 15 minutes by another staff member, who also turned off the lights and fans. I would also like to point out that all the ACs where the staff and faculty were sitting were on. They even have a 5-star AC, which would consume around or even less than 1 unit per hour. I wasn’t the only one in the library who had this complaint. I asked for a refund if they couldn’t turn on the AC during my study hours. I only went there for 2 days, and ₹150 was deducted from the refund amount. ₹150 deducted for asking for what I paid for and what they advertised on the 5 boards displayed all around the library. ₹150 deducted by the receptionist for asking for something I specifically enquired about before joining and was assured would not be a problem. Basic comfort in this weather shouldn’t feel impossible. It made studying very difficult, and the response felt dismissive. I would recommend this library in winters, but in summers it is unbearable.

Best facilities and lift is their which is not present in any library in palam fourth floor chill area to sit and chill for some time with sofa sets and table to eat food Ac good and new one pls try ones from going to another library
