A Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (CAAQMS) has been installed on JNU campus in June 2025, in collaboration with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC). The facility tracks hyper-local pollution levels (including PM 2.5 and PM₁₀) on a 24/7 basis. JNU site was one of six new stations launched by the Delhi Government to bolster the city's anti-pollution efforts. The Station is exactly located at JNU Central Library Parking. Data Access: Live data recorded at the JNU monitor is integrated into the national Air Quality Index (AQI) and is available to view on the DPCC network. Local Displays: The station is equipped with a nearby visible electronic display board to show real-time air quality metrics directly to the campus community.
