On main Deshbandhu Gupta road it is well stocked with a plethora of books on various jaunra. An oaisis of peace on the bedlam & chaotic traffic that surrounds it from 10am to 9pm.Ample parking space available. Fast forward August 2024, the chaos cought with this place. Think it's permanently closed. Couldn't get any clear answer from construction staff there.
The library is a very uniqe Istitution it reqire more attention from the ministry of culture regarding the well fare of readers as well staff.library should be run by professionals and not by generalists. I observed very closely this is the main reason thats why this library being a depository of knowledge out put of the nation. Is not taken care.THE LIBRARY IS A TRINITY ..STAFF. BLDG. READERS. IN THIS CASE STAFF IS MISSING MORE THAN 60 PERCENT I hope minister himself look in to
It used to be a good reading place with loads of books and internet facility, but now its closed. The building is falling apart ,bricks and everything. Its in a bad shape
I visited here 1st time in 2008, hoping it will get better with time but i was wrong. It has computer room with 5 Non-working computer, books are there but surely not enough for higher class student, No reading room facility and you can't suggest new books,
There are many good books, but certainly not enough. Not even a reading room. Yet it is better than many other branches.
